I’m lusting over the new summer 11′ collection from Wren. The style is so effortlessly pretty and drapes beautifully on their model. The looks feature tie dyed and batiked fabrics that look so soft and oh so comfortable! I love feminine, flowy clothing and Wren now has a new fan. Next time you see me, I just may be wearing one of these looks. Here’s to hoping that I will be!

I’ve been thinking long and hard about what I really want to receive this holiday season and I’ve decided to go towards a more practical approach (really good excuse) to get some awesome pieces I’ve been swooning over the past few months. Well, I’ve been working on getting my mounds and mounds of paperwork under control, my books set beautifully on a shelf, and I need a better way to transport my laundry from the home to the garage. So my list consists of stylish decor that will help me get organized throughout my home after a pretty hectic holiday season! As I have mentioned before, I have a serious obsession with paper products and office supplies. I don’t know about you, but I need eye candy in my office while I work. I love to surround myself with items that will spark my creativity and keep me focused. I love how Rebecca Orlov decorated her chic home office (see in image below). It looks beautiful and funcitinoal!

This past weekend Kristen and I headed up north to Nipomo, Ca, to an amazing event called the, Remnants of the Past show with special guest, Rachel Ashwell from the beautiful Shabby Chic website and stores. The event was at a remote location in Nipomo at a beautiful old barn nestled within an avocado orchard. There were fall colours and amazing scents of pumpkins and other fall favorites amongst this neat little setting. It felt as if it were something out of a fairy tale, with amazing decor and friendly people.
As if the beautiful setting wasn’t enough, there were so many neat things going on inside the event. Rachel Ashwell was signing books and talking about her most recent design book. She was so kind and was really interactive at the event. She spent time talking about her experience with design and answered questions from her audience of listeners. It was really neat to hear!
There were also so many beautiful booths with amazing antique and vintage furniture, beautiful linens and textiles, and adorable handmade pieces from many vendors. Many of the booths were very soft and elegant, much like the style of Rachel Ashwell, but also with a touch of industrial style. Everything was was really amazing! Kristen shot some amazing photos for this post and I’m really happy she captured how beautiful the day really was! We definitely will be back at their next event this coming Spring. We’re so happy we made it up there because it definitely was not a day to forget!
