Decorate in Pink

December 29, 2009

Pinks and browns are two colours that work beautifully together when they are styled well. We hope to inspire you with this very simple and trendy table setting that allows the homeowner to express their style without looking overdone.

In the image above, the theme is a 1950′s inspired setting with faux coral, shells, and starfish to give it the cool California beach vibe. The walls are painted a very light pink to offset the darker pink/orange dining chairs, and brown is worked into the furniture, the shelves, and within the lampshade.

Decorate in Pink!

It is easy to get this same look, you just have to do a little modifying to a small space in your home. If you don’t already have a great set of shelves, find a set at your favorite furniture store, or have one custom made. Then pick out your favorite knick knacks and decor pieces that work well within your theme. Paint your walls a very light tone of pink, and find some great chairs you can reupholster if needed in the future. Personalize your home to give every space a stylish setting.
