Pretty in Pink

August 18, 2010

Thinking pretty in pink! There is something so charming and whimsical about the colour pink. With thoughts of florals and cotton candy, pink is my go to colour when I think glitz, glam, and anything girly. Invite your friends over a for tea party this weekend, pick out whimsical pink pieces from your favorite vintage store, and rekindle that girly love!

High Tea for Alice

I want these suitcases. How chic and lovely! When I travel I don’t necessarily think to wear pink, so accessorizing my luggage and shoes when traveling will still give me that girly glam look. Of course, this luggage would look fabulous in any vacation rental, wherever that may be! We could even see these as props in Kristen’s studio or in my office. Wishing these were actually for sale! I’m heading out on a treasure hunt for cute pink luggage now!

Wondering where these photos were shot? Beautiful pastels! Very inviting and romantic!

Reminds me of a childhood dream. I want to find this amusement park and enjoy this neat roller coaster!

Do they make suitcases large enough for everything I want to bring home?

What Dreams Are Made Of

August 12, 2010

Day dreaming on a beautiful summer afternoon… I am dreaming of soft colours and romantic visions! It is almost the weekend and I’m getting ready for some major relaxation. Drinking an iced coffee in one hand, a good book in the other, and my dogs by my side. Dream away and enjoy your day!

A Little Note From Me to You

August 12, 2010

There is something about paper goods that I adore. I can’t get enough of them! I have a huge collection of paper…just in case I ever want to get crafty I guess. In the age of ipads and blackberries, writing letters seems to be a lost art but I want to keep it alive! Here are a few paper goods that I thought I would share with you…I want them all!

Beautiful Design

August 12, 2010

Designer Kelly Wearstler, in my opinion, is one of the most amazing interior designers out there! Her work is beautiful, creative and unique. I love her colour schemes and her eye for detail. Here is some of her work from a residential project she designed at a Bel-Air Villa. Her designs inspire me, and I hope they will inspire you too. Check out some of her images below.

Loving the mirrored ceilings and amazing chandeliers here!

This dining room is beautiful! The modern black matching buffets are perfect against the bright yellow walls. She worked the symmetry of this room so well. LOVE it!

These cabinets are really unique. The colours of orange and black against the patterned tile floor works so well here.

Greys and yellows are my favorite colours so I am obviously in LOVE with this room! I wouldn’t change anything here! Can you just look at that amazing coffee table against the beautiful large carpet? Wow!

Small Spaces, Big Style

August 11, 2010

Decorating a smaller home can be challenging. As I was looking for inspiration for my smaller home, I came across a great article from HGTV’s “5 Small-Room Rules to Break.” They are going the unconventional route and telling all of us to break the rules we have been taught for so many years: and I have to agree with them! They have some great ideas, so I thought I would share their ‘rules to break’ with you! Their top ‘break your patterns and rules’ are as follows;

Rule # 1 to Break: Paint Small Spaces White

Rule # 2 to Break: Stay Away From Lots of Patterns

Rule # 3 to Break: Keep Knick-Knacks to a Minimum

Rule # 4 to Break: Very Small Rooms Demand Very Small Furniture

Rule # 5 to Break: Hang Lots of Mirrors to Visually Expand a Space
